You should now be in the directory titled “/pub/dropoff.” This directory is provided as a “drop-off” point for Dartmouth users. You may place files here with Fetch so that someone else can retrieve them, or vice versa. However there is no privacy and anyone can delete the files you place here.
One file has been placed in “/pub/dropoff” for the purposes of this tutorial. It is named “MacCompress3.2.bin.” If this file is not there you can use another; the principle is the same.
In order to move “MacCompress3.2.bin” from Dartvax to your Macintosh you should double-click its name. Alternatively you may select its name and press either Return, Enter, or the Get File... button. You will be prompted for a name to save the file under; if you click OK the file will quickly be saved on your disk. It will be complete with its own icon and ready to be used.
